Spring 2021 Weeknight Kickball Announcement
Spring is here, weekday kickballers, and it’s time for a new season with some exciting new changes!
First off, we’re moving this season from Tuesday nights to Monday nights and bumping our start time up to 6:30 pm. Why? Because we’ve got these amazing new fields at DeWitt Clinton Park, right in the middle of Hell’s Kitchen! They’re bigger, nicer, and in incredible shape. Unfortunately, we’ll have to say goodbye to all those little divots that made our games so exciting, but hey, that’s life.
As with our opening of Saturday kickball, our main focus will be on maintaining the safety of our players and the greater NYC community. While we realize vaccinations have recently been opened to everyone, it will take some time to get the community safely vaccinated.
So this season is still going to be a bit different from past seasons, but we know our weekday players will take to the changes just as easily as our Saturday players.
Check out our new site to read through our COVID-19 safety plans for our upcoming seasons. For those currently playing Saturday, we are still enforcing the prohibition against playing in two leagues simultaneously, with the exception of those who are fully vaccinated by our first weekday game on Monday, April 19th. That means being a full two weeks out from your final vaccination shot – and yes we will be requiring verification!

Important Updates:
We will be operating this season with a focus on safety for both our players and the wider NYC community.
Expect some changes, including:
No in-person parties or post-play gatherings
Social distancing and mask wearing requirements
No tournament of champions
Players may only play in one Big Apple Rec league per season unless they are fully vaccinated by Monday, April 19th
