2021 Dodgeball Update
Did they say no Fall?
Hey Dodgeball fam,
We’ve got some good and bad news to share with you.
The bad news first… as you’ve probably put together, we weren’t successful in locking down a new gym in time for Fall 2021. As disappointing as this is, we truly appreciate your patience and support as we scrambled to find a new gym because of structural issues and ongoing renovations at the Tony Dapolito Rec Center.
Now the good… wonderful… exciting news! We think we’ve found a gym in Hell’s Kitchen that appropriately meets our needs and will be a great space to finally bring back dodgeball! We are currently working through the permitting and administrative process to lock down the gym. To be fully transparent, we’re not sure how long this process will take. We’ve been told it can take a couple of weeks to a couple of months, and there might be unexpected surprises along the way.
With that said, the Board has approved a non-traditional season of dodgeball as soon as we have a contract in place and access to the gym. We ask that you continue to be patient as we work through this, and we’ll continue to update you as we can.
