SUMMER PICKLEBALL REGISTRATION INFO!

Get ready to serve, volley, and smash your way into BARS’ first full-length foray into Pickleball! We have both competitive and social options this summer across NYC, so there’s something for everyone! We also have a dedicated league for our Women, Trans, and Non-Binary (WTNB) players!

All leagues will have both free agent and pre-formed teams. This means you can sign up individually or as a group! Teams will consist of 3-5 players. You may sign up as a team of 2, 3, 4, or 5. If you sign up as a team of 2, a third person will be added to your team. Free agent teams will all consist of 4 players. The only way to have 5 players on your team is if you sign up as a team of 5.

As an additional perk, all BARS summer pickleball players will have access to open plays on Friday nights! Come out with us, practice, and hone your skills in a relaxed and social environment. More details forthcoming!

SUNDAY LEAGUE (MIXED GENDER)

SUNDAY LEAGUE DETAILS:

Type: A larger league (24 teams) for both social and competitive players; two (2) 45-minute matches weekly; Matchups created based on skill set, with round robin play on designated weeks; Indoor, True pickleball courts (see photo below).
Season Dates: July 7th – August 25th (8 weeks)
Time: 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Where: Sport Time NY Randall’s Island, 1 Randall’s Island
Price: $140

SUNDAY LEAGUE REGISTRATION INFO:

WTNB Team Registration: Friday, June 21 @ 6pm (until 5pm on Saturday, June 22)
Co-ED Team Registration (must have at least 1 WTNB player): Saturday, June 22 @ 6pm (until 5pm on Sunday, June 23)
Open Team Registration: Sunday, June 23 @ 6pm (until 5pm on Monday, June 24)
Free Agent Registration: Monday, June 24 @ 6pm

Type: Created for our Women, Trans, Non-Binary (WTNB) Community; More Social; 8 teams; One (1) 45-minute match each night; Outdoor rubber-surface courts

ADDITIONAL PICKLEBALL LEAGUE INFO:

Both the Monday or Sunday leagues will be social in nature, though the Sunday league will be a bit more competitive (given the greater number of teams and the fact that matchups will be based on team skill level).
Since there are 2 matches weekly, the Sunday league will provide a bit more play time (90 minutes each week versus 45 minutes for the Monday league).
Please be aware that the Sunday league is located on Randall’s Island.
