APPLICATION PROCESS
If you want to throw your hat in the ring for either position, send an e-mail to nominations@bigapplerecsports.com with answers to the below:
- Tell us what position you’re submitting for.
- Please share any sports you have participated in, and your history with, Big Apple Rec Sports (Bowling // Dodgeball // Kickball // Pickleball).
- Provide a short statement of interest for the vacant Board position, the reasons for seeking out said position, what you would hope to bring to the organization, and any other additional information you deem important to share.
You can also nominate your fellow league members! Send any nominations our way in the same format: who you are nominating and why you think they’d be perfect for the role (we will then reach out to confirm that the nominee is interested in running).
Once the submission window closes: the BARS Nominations Committee – a five-member task force comprised of both current and former Board members – will hold conversations with all submitted nominees to discuss their qualifications and ideas for the future of the organization. They will then make their formal recommendation to the Board. The Board of Directors, in the lead-up to their official vote, will also take into consideration feedback from the BARS Leadership Team.
