Winter Registration Information
You had “new seasons of BARS sports” on your holiday wishlist? Well, you’re in luck!
Big Apple has already filled up our winter bowling league (that waitlist can be found here), but we have so much kickball and dodgeball this winter! Read all about it below. Mark your calendars, because you don’t want to miss it!
And don’t worry; we haven’t forgotten about pickleball! We are hosting a winter pickleball tournament, with multiple divisions, on February 16. Registration will be mid-January. More info coming soon!

Also! BARS will be making small changes throughout 2025 in a continued effort to increase diversity across all spectrums of backgrounds, genders, and identities. Toward that effort, we are adding a pre-registration window for players who self-identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or a person of color (BIPOC). Those new registration timelines are articulated in each league’s description below.
Also as a reminder: our “Open Division” caters to the entire queer community and is open to anyone across the gender spectrum. For teams/leagues consisting entirely of Women, Trans, and Non-Binary (WTNB+) players, registrants should sign up for the dedicated “WTNB+ Divisions” below.
SATURDAY KICKBALL - Open Division (Social)

THE FINE PRINT
- The above dates, times, and locations are subject to change due to permit acquisition, weather, court, or venue availability.
- All players must be 21 years of age to participate in our leagues.
- We don’t want financial burden to be a hindrance in participating in our sports. Payment plans are available for those who would like to pay over time. Please email us at executive-board@bigapplerecsports.com for more information. Prospective players need to reach out at least 7-10 days before registration opens up to allow for proper payment plan set-up time.
- Regarding BIPOC and WTNB+ pre-registration: BARS will not request, nor will we request in the future, any form of confirmation of an individual’s ethnic, racial, or gender identity. We intend to continue honoring the principle that everyone has the right to identify as they feel is true to themselves.
