Spring 2024 Pickleball Registration

After the success of our pickleball tournament last fall, we wanted to explore adding this sport to our roster. This trial co-ed league will provide useful information as we survey both community interest and logistical cost.
As this is a trial season, we have extremely limited space; it is likely we will sell out very quickly. We will be measuring waitlist demand as an indicator for additional seasons down the road. We’re also exploring overflow space for open court opportunities later this spring.

BASIC LEAGUE DETAILS
Size: 24 teams, 3-4 players per team
Division : Social Division (12 teams) & Competitive Division (12 teams)
Season Dates: March 22nd – May 10th
Time: 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Where: John Jay College, 58th St & 10 Ave
Price: $110
REGISTRATION INFO & TIMELINE
Women, Trans, Non-Binary (WTNB) Team Registration:
Monday, March 11 @ 6pm (until 5pm on March 13)
Requires full roster of WTNB players
1 registrant per team
Co-Ed Team Registration:
Wednesday, March 13 @ 6pm (until 5pm on March 14)
Roster should include 1 WTNB player
1 registrant per team
Open Team Registration:
Thursday, March 14 @ 6pm (until 5pm on March 15)
No roster requirement
1 registrant per team
Free Agent Registration:
Friday, March 15 @ 6pm
Free agents will also be placed on teams with only 2 registered players

CONNECTING WTNB FREE AGENTS
We want to create a resource for Women, Trans, & Non-Binary (WTNB) free agents to express interest in being added to co-ed teams. This will allow non-full teams to find WTNB players quickly (for priority registration)

ADDITIONAL DETAILS & FAQ
During registration, the team representative will fill in teammates’ name and pronouns for audit purposes. We want to ensure teams are registering in the appropriate registration windows.
The above dates, times, and locations are subject to change due to weather, court, or venue availability.
All players must be 21 years of age to participate in our leagues.
We don’t want financial burden to be a hindrance in participating in our sports. Payment plans are available for those who would like to pay over time. Please email us at executive-board@bigapplerecsports.com for more information.
After registration fills up, waitlists for each tier will be available.
